The World Nano-Economic Congress, Ireland

The World Nano-Economic Congress (WNEC) Ireland is a cooperative
effort between Cientifica
and the and the Irish
Nanotechnology Association (a part of Enterprise
Ireland) to bring the focus of nanotechnology and its impact
upon industries to the rapidly growing economy of Ireland.
The World Nano-Economic Congress (WNEC) Ireland is the
extension of The World Nano-Economic Congress (WNEC) series of
events that have been held since 2003 in every major region of
the world, starting initially in Washington, D.C. with succeeding
events in London, Munich, and most recently in Singapore. The
WNEC Ireland will represent the fifth event in this international
series of conferences.
The schedule and location of previous events are as follows:
· WNEC North America-Washington, DC, September 2003
· WNEC Europe-London, November 2003
· WNEC Europe (NanoTrends)-Munich, May 2004
· WNEC Singapore-Singapore, October 2004
The hallmark of the WNEC events is their comprehensive approach
to the economic impact of nanotechnology on various industries
in which nanotechnology can be applied, and examining this impact
specifically within particular geographic regions in a global
context.
This is accomplished by providing high-level speakers from science,
government, and business from around the world to discuss the
entire value chain of nanotechnology's commercial development
in both a plenary session format as well specifically designed
"Industry Track" sessions, including:
· Aerospace & Defense
· Medical & Pharmaceutical
· Energy
· Electronics
· Automotive
· Chemicals & Advanced Materials
· Textiles
· Water
